Proven approaches aimed at optimizing motor system performance and energy efficiency – such as having a motor management plan, selecting optimally sized and high-efficiency motors, use of adjustable speed drives, and having a preventative maintenance schemes – hold a significant potential to improve energy efficiency in ammonia plants.
